Columbian Names Fitz Chem North American Distributor of the Year

(Marietta, Ga.) April 12, 2007 Earlier today, Columbian Chemicals Company, one of the world’s leading producers of carbon black, presented Fitz Chem Corporation with the company’s North American Distributor of the Year award for 2006. The award ceremony was held at Fitz Chem Corporation’s headquarters in Itasca, Illinois. During the award ceremony Columbian’s President, North American Region, James Howard, presented Fitz Chem’s President, Robert Becker, with a plaque and personally thanked Fitz Chem’s Robert Milano, Supplier Manager, and Ed Croco, National Accounts Manager, for their excellent level of service. “Columbian recognizes the value and service that our distributors provide,” said Howard. “Fitz Chem has one of the most effective sales organizations in the business. I am impressed with their ability to quickly move on new opportunities and demonstrate the value of Columbian’s specialty carbon black line.”

Fitz Chem Corporation Honored with Distributor of the Year Award for 2004 and 2005 at the 2006 FSCT ICE Show

Itasca, IL – November 20, 2006. Fitz Chem Corporation was honored with a Distributor of the Year glass pedestal award by TOR Minerals as its best distributor for the years 2004 and 2005 at the Federation of Societies Coatings Technology International Coatings Expo held November 1 through November 3, 2006 in New Orleans, Louisiana. TOR Minerals generally gives out an award every year, but since there was no ICE Show in 2005 the award for both years was not presented until this year.  Fitz Chem’s territory for TOR Minerals includes the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and parts of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

The award was presented on November 2, 2006 by Andy Panozzo of TOR Minerals to Robert Milano of Fitz Chem.   Mr. Milano stated “It is quite an accomplishment to be recognized with this beautiful award from one of our key suppliers. We look forward to growing our business even more next year and we plan to share this award with all the Fitz Chem associates that helped make this award possible.”
