IMERYS is a global corporation who, for over 100 years has been developing better ways to turn mineral resources into high performance minerals.

Originally involved in mining and metallurgy under the name of IMETAL, in 1990, the company acquired major stakes in the white pigments sector: first in kaolin (Dry Branch Kaolin), then in calcium carbonate (Georgia Marble). It also entered the graphite market (Timcal and Stratmin Graphite). Then, in 1999, the acquisition of ECC International combined to make IMETEL a worldwide leader in minerals processing under the new name of IMERYS.

IMERYS is a major supplier of ground mica products to the world. Other minerals produced include feldspathic sand and a primary kaolin. Mica is widely used in the paint, plastics, rubber, sound deadening, foundry coatings, roofing products, construction materials, glass, fiberglass, ceramics and tile industries . Products are readily available in bulk, semi-bulk, and bagged quantities.
