TOR Minerals
- TOR’s HITOX® , a buff colored Ti02, is ideal for formulating in tinted systems and offers cost savings by reducing both the amount of Ti02 in your formula and the amount of color pigment required to produce the same desired color.
- TOR’s HALTEX® is a bright, white (>90 brightness) Alumina Trihydrate which can often be used to extend Ti02.
- TOR’s BARTEX® is a white, Barium Sulfate extender pigment designed to increase the efficiency of Titanium Dioxide.
IMERYS
- Hydrous Kaolin Clays (Hydrite® and Kaopaque®) are effective in replacing up to 20% of the Ti02 component in water based systems. Also applicable are Calcined Clays (Glomax® and PoleStar®) which are especially effective with NeoGen 2000® offering unusually high extension efficiency.
- Calcium carbonates are also effective Ti02 extenders. Atomite Star®, Camel Cal ST® and Imerseal 75® are all effective in potentially reducing Ti02 by up to 20%.
PQ Corporation
- Zeocros E110®, a Sodium Aluminosilicate is particularly effective in reducing Ti02 usage by up to 25% in white powder coating systems without negatively affecting gloss, brightness, UV stability or mechanical properties.
- Zeocros CG180® is effective in replacing Ti02 in liquid coating systems.
Mississippi Lime
- Designed to control crystal morphology and optical properties, Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) has a high refractive index, controlled oil absorption, tight particle size distribution, and has excellent hiding power in gloss, semi-gloss and flat/matte systems.
- Magnum Fill® is ideal for flat/matte applications.
- Magnum Gloss® is ideal for gloss and semi-gloss systems.
