HELP BRIGHTEN UP THE NEW HOPE CENTER

This year the Community Relations Committee of the Chicago Paint & Coatings Association will host our 15th Annual “Paint a Brighter Chicago” project on Saturday, July 30, 2011.  This project is designed to brighten the environment for some of the less fortunate in the Chicagoland area.  This year we are working with the New Hope Center in Dolton, IL to paint their facility to make a better atmosphere for the center’s participants!

New Hope Center, Inc. is a community service agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in Southeast Cook County and Northeast Will County.  New Hope School was incorporated in 1960 by a small group of parents whose children were developmentally disabled and were unable to receive education in the public school system.  Through their collaborative efforts, educational and vocational classes were conducted in local churches and storefronts.  New Hope School soon evolved into New Hope Center, Inc. and a vast array of services were provided to individuals with developmental disabilities far beyond educational and vocational programming. 

New Hope Center is now in its 51st year, and its programs include developmental training, residential services, employment services, special recreation, and a variety of community support services to adults and children with disabilities.  New Hope Center currently provides services to over 400 individuals and continues to meet the personal needs of each of its programs’ participants as they increase skills and move toward greater independence and integration in their communities.

Our committee will provide paint, supplies and volunteers that will paint many of the needed areas of this facility.  The Chicago Paint & Coatings Association is committed to this project and we are looking to our member companies to help us reach this goal.  In order to make this project a success, the Community Relations Committee of the Chicago Paint & Coatings Association are asking for your support in the form of a monetary donation.  If you or your company would be willing to donate toward this project, the people of the New Hope Center, Community Relations Committee and Chicago Paint & Coatings Association would greatly appreciate your generosity.  To make a donation, please complete the form attached to this sheet and email it to cmarcuccelli@fitzchem.com by July 8, 2011.
